with people back at work/school/uni and other priorities getting in the way its been a while since a post has been made so Im gunna try do a sumative catch up of whats been going down in denetown.
Symbolic the Mostly SA based clan in tf2 has come second in ozfortress cup after losing to mad dogs those of you who are playing tf2 a shoutcast recording
(some bogans running out of nouns and verbs for death in the form of comantary )

thats pretty much it for me hit the jump for my usual random links of entertainment and video/freeware games and comment on what youve been up to. lets face it not many of us are around at set times on irc anymore so this makes more sense =)

Some crazy kids have remade Dune II, featuring mp3 support if you so choose, working multiplayer (apparently), and a higher res than DOS mode.
Works in XP a treat. Afaik it has the same factions/units as Dune II but different missions, hence Dune IV.

Well being the end of the year we have seen a lot of gaming lists come and go. Most of them being fucking retarded whilst others blatantly rigged (spike TV VGA awards anyone?)
So in the vein of Jeremy Clarkson I’ve figured “how hard can it be?” And have decided to do a top ten list of my own.
The top 10 First person shooter weapons of all time
Of course it’s easy to prattle off heaps of weapons that have had significance. And end up with a huge list of meaningless projectile weapons so I’ve narrowed it down to 10 separate categories to keep the list relevant without being to long.
The other thing to consider with this list is I’ve not played every FPS known to man so there is a good chance this will be biased as hell, but unlike journos at least my list isn’t being paid for with advertising money, as well as the fact you guys are gunna bitch about selections so I can tweak it ^^

Another small update, but I feel the quality will make up for its size. As its been a while since anything really news worthy has been worth posting. TF2 continues with symbolic, Sam is in melbourne getting his engineer gokarting on, Dave is bored shitless and god knows what next door is up to.

Team fortress 2 is fun and whilst most of the dene isnt entirely active in PC gaming atm the ex lansa guys and good friends of the dene have started a steam community group and clan called symbolic.

Well seeing as dave has been kind enough to pay for some hosting for the dene website and that Im bored shitless and have spare time on my hands. I figured Id start posting the few entertaining things I come across trawling the vast open internetz. (like Im going to create content :P stealing URLZ ftw =P ) No idea if I wil make this a regular thing but im thinking along the lines of weekend updates. Well will just roll with it. Maybe I can guilt the other deners into posting other stuff seeing as ill will mainly be focusing on gaming related stuff as its the only life I have )
also guys you all know I have the english skills of a 5th grader from Sudan so feel free to eat my grammar alive in the comments. =)
